It doesn't get more rural than here. In a close knit Andalucian community, were the pace is set by nature and the many fiestas and most labour is geared towards and around maintaining, pampering and harvesting the fruits of the olive, orange, lemon, clementine, pomegranate, almond and peach trees. Were everybody is growing vegetables and where the shepherd leads his flock of goats in a cacafonie of bells twice a day through the village.

Where each sound disturbs noticeably the silence.
The baker, the butcher, the fish monger and the fruit and veg man deliver their goods to the door. All shops and facilities are nearby.
At the same time you are only a 45 minutes drive from Malaga Airport, the hustle and bustle from the Costa del Sol and the seaside.
The house is part of the hamlet or cortijo on the outside ring, with all the buildings arranged around the central plaza. Three years ago it was completely refurbished and modernised, although some of the decoration needs a bit of attention. I love this house and this village and I am very sad that I have to let it go for economic reasons. Such is life. But I really hope someone falls in love with it like I did and still do love it.

Originally this finca was two separate dwellings. The ruined second house has been rebuild as a spacious garage, in which a sauna is installed. The patio is very secluded and private, with high stone walls surrounding it. It feels like an outside room, really.

In total the living space is 190 m² and the terrain measures 431 m². All paperwork for the house is up to date and impeccable.

In front of the house, on the other side of the road, is a terraced garden with fruit trees. I wanted to transform it into a luscious kitchen garden, but haven't succeeded in that yet. But a gully - part of the old Moorish irrigation system - runs along the top of the garden and the soil is very fertile. And the vegetables I have grown in it were many fold and delicious.

One of the really great things about this village is that it has it own spring, high up in the mountain, from which year round the water streams in the little gullies through the village to irrigate the land. But this same water also comes from the tap. There is never a shortage of water here, which is in itself quite exceptional in these regions, certainly during the summer.
