| | | This lovely road side village restaurant attracts both local French and European people. It has an all year round international clientele, mainly due to its great location, situation between Bergerac and Duras. To date, the restaurant has built its reputation on quality classical dishes with a modern twist and its relaxed atmosphere.
The decor is comfortable, relaxed, modern and very inviting: the winter dining, which can sit up to 40 people, boasts a fire place surrounded by sofas where you can appreciate an aperitif before heading to a table to enjoy your meal. In the summer, the covered terrace/veranda, which can sit up to 50 people, remains cool - a perfect place to enjoy a summer evening meal.
The restaurant is used for eveything from wedding parties, christening lunches, surprise birthday bashes, quiz nights, concerts, fund raisers and theme nights. All these events contribute to maintaining the year yound clientele.
The kitchen is up to standard as of 2008 (gas oven + electric oven, gas hob and gas griddle, 2 service fridges, 1 upright freezer, 2 larder fridges, 1 plate warming pass, 1 infra red lamp, industrial extractors, dish washing area with industrial dish washer, all stainless steel surfaces).
The small bar can be used independantly from the food/restaurant side of the business - as the business detains a class IV licence, which means that alcohol can be served without food. This is a bonus as these licences are no longer issued. At this point in time, the bar side of the business hasn't been fully developped.
The restaurant is situated in a beautiful old stone building prominently places on the old road from south west France to Spain. It shares the building with residential flats. There is a car park at the rear of the building that leads on to vineyards and prune trees. There is a private terrace at the back of the kitchen where the present chef has a small herb garden.
This sale concerns only the FONDS DE COMMERCE - the business. This means that rent is due every month.
